Loans Still Current
Sept 9, 2009
We checked the loans we funded and found that they are still all current with no past due amounts on lendingclub.com. We hope tahe trend continues. We used a search criteria of under $7000 USD, under 20% dept to equity and under 30% revolving utilization. We also only funded A credit ratings and only those borrowers who had no delinquencies and inqueries. Good luck with your loan searches.

Moving On
Mar 17, 2009
We still do not have any updates on getting historic lending club data. So, we will concentrate on Prosper and Kiva loans. You do not make interest on your loans on Kiva, but it is a worthy cause.

Improved Search Tool
Mar 10, 2009
We have improved the search tool for finding loans from Lending Club data. You can search by virtually any criteria now. Debt to income searching, loan amount and credit grade. We will continue to improve this tool with your continued input. Drop us a line here.
As an example how you can use the search tools to locate prospective loans to fund. We first searched for all grade A loans up to $9,000 and had a match of 10 loans. Some of those credit line utilizations were over 50%. People just do not know how to stop spending even in this economy. So, to improve your your quality, hunt for lower risk loans. We searched for people who had no delinquencies and the number of lloans droped down to 6 loans by selecting borrowers that have had no delinquencies in the last 2 years. This is only an example your mileage will vary.

Problem with LendingClub.com data feeds
Mar 3, 2009
We are having problems with the XML feeds from Lending Club for historical loans. We contacted lending club and they replied that they are working on the issue. We hope to have historical data feeds restored soon. All the data for new loans is still available from our search page and we are importing that daily once per day. It is important to note that there are three XML files we want to get feeds on. One file is name InFundingStats.xml. This file is the current loans that are being funded by lenders. Another file is called LoanStats.xml. This file is the historical information on current loans. Finally, another file is called RejectStats.xml, this file contains information on loans that were rejected.

Import of Prosper.com data
Feb 27, 2009
We have just finished importing the loan data from Prosper.com. We imported the historical data as well as what prosper calls updated data. Updated data is data that changes on a daily basis. Update feeds are available on a regular basis. We will be adding charts and other statistical data including search engines for you to find the best loans to fund. We found a lot of interesting information such as default rates vs loan size. There is a much higher chance that a loan will default the larger the loan amount. We will share this information with you shortly in the charts section of this web site.
